The centerpiece of the week’s great events, The Grand Tasting Experience is a true feast for all the senses. Visit The Tasting Room at Uptown Park to taste over 100 wines, sample food from at least 20 of Houston’s finest restaurants, listen to live music, and take advantage of the best retail wine prices you will see all year. Purchase a VIP pass and have the first hour of the event all to yourself. Additionally, as a VIP participant, all afternoon you will have access to the Bordeaux Room where you can relax, taste at least 25 highly sought-after “Cellar Selection” wines and champagnes, and sample specially-prepared appetizers which compliment these rare wines.

Join The Tasting Room at River Oaks’ head sommelier leads you through an in-depth comparison of “New World” and “Old World” pinot noirs. Learn about the differences in growing techniques, soils, production techniques, and the wines themselves. Our sommelier will compare three pinot noirs from either North America or the Southern Hemisphere (the “New World” wines) with classic examples from great French producers (the “old World” wines). Light appetizers will be provided during the class. Seating is extremely limited – be sure to purchase your tickets early.
