The first of its kind in the Houston Galleria/Uptown Park District. Visit The Tasting Room at Uptown Park and experience a farmer’s market where you can sample fresh produce, cheeses, chocolates, breads, and much more. Numerous vendors from around the state will converge at Uptown Park for this exciting event. Grab a glass of specially-priced wine from The Tasting Room’s beautiful bar and peruse the vendors’ booths inside and outside the venue.

There are less than 80 people in the United States and 150 in the world who have attained the designation of “Master Sommelier.” Bob Bath is one of them. We are thrilled to welcome Bob to the 2007 Houston Cellar Classic, where he will show you “How to Blind-Taste Like a Master Sommelier.” Taste “secret” wines along with Bob and listen to his explanation of what he sees, smells and tastes in each wine. Test your senses and see if you can determine the varietal, vintage, and country of origin of each wine. Educational and entertaining, this event is sure to sell out quickly.

Dinner to the MAX II MENU
Nationally-recognized MAX’s Wine Dive closes out the week’s culinary events with the Houston Cellar Classic’s “Dinner to the MAX II.” Join MAX’s chef and world-renowned Master Sommelier Bob Bath as they team up to create a fantastic food and wine pairing menu. There are less than 80 people in the United States and 150 in the world who have attained the designation of “Master Sommelier.” Bob Bath is one of them. Bob will feature a selection of fantastic wines from New Zealand, and Chef Jonathan will create a complimentary dinner menu utilizing themes and ingredients from the great, rustic New Zealand food culture.
Seating is very limited – be sure to purchase your tickets early. MAX’s Wine Dive is a small restaurant, with a large number of seats at the bar that spans the length of the shotgun-style space. There are four leather booths, each of which can seat up to 6 people. These booths are available for $750 each (you may have from two to six people in your booth). There are 6 two-top tables, each available for $150. There is one large booth – MAX’s Signature Booth – which seats 10 people. MAX’s Signature Booth is available for $1,250 (you may host six to 10 people in that booth). If you purchase one of the booths or tables, we will contact you prior to the event to confirm the number of people in your party. Fifteen bar seats are available at $125 each.
