Having grown up in Royse City, a small town outside of Dallas, executive chef Shay Prigmore is primed to breakout and shine in the bright lights of the big city! Chef Shay’s cooking career, which spans more than 10 years, began at the age of 16 working at Culpepper steak house as bus boy. It was here he fell in love with the fast paced culinary world. Chef Shay refined his skills at The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Dallas. His work alongside a number of expert executive chefs that include Chad Bowden, Patrick Russell, Marc Cassel, Keith Cedotal, and Kathleen Crook fuels his drive to ascend in the culinary ranks. Now leading The Tasting Room kitchen in Houston’s popular CityCentre, chef Shay brings his passion for cooking, extensive experience and appetite for success to the team. Chef Shay specializes in Contemporary American fare with a focus on savory seafood and pork dishes.
