Kings Harbor Chef - Erick Madden

Erick Madden
Executive Chef

Houston native, Erick Madden, began his journey into the culinary landscape in an untraditional way. While on tour in Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division, Madden was able to take a trip back to the states where he saw a commercial for the Texas Culinary Academy in Austin. He got to thinking after seeing that commercial, and decided that his love for cooking could be put to good use. Madden held multiple positions in the kitchen to hone his culinary skills following graduation from the Texas Culinary Academy including Sous Chef at The University of Texas’ Jester Hall, Chef and Owner of Village Bistro in Spring, Texas and Sous Chef at Trio Steakhouse & Bar in Houston. Following his successful stints at various restaurants from 2006-2012, Madden joined The Tasting Room at Uptown Park team in April 2012 as a pizza cook, where he quickly moved up the ranks to Lead Line Cook, Kitchen Manager and Sous Chef . In December 2013, Madden moved to The Tasting Room at Kings Harbor, where he commands the kitchen as Executive Chef. After showing his excellence in commanding the kitchen at Kings Harbor, Madden was asked to join The Tasting Room Uptown Park’s team once again, but this time as the Executive Chef. In his spare time, Madden enjoys spending time with his two sons and family.

General Manager Kendra Mejia

General Manager

Born and raised on the outskirts of Houston, Kendra Mejia Cediel spent most of her life in the small town of Dayton, Texas. Cediel attended Lee College where she studied business principles, management and marketing.

In 2007, Cediel started her career in the restaurant industry as a bartender at Applebee’s Grill and Bar. During her time in the restaurant, Cediel discovered a love for the business, “I quickly learned how strong my desire and drive to work in the food and beverage industry was, while incorporating my passion for the community’s well-being.”

She moved up the ranks at Applebee’s to an Hourly Manager within a year of working there, Kitchen Manager in 2010 and finally Assistant General Manager in 2011 where she led manager training programs for the Houston and the East Texas areas.

Following her success at Applebee’s, Cediel became the Assistant General Manager of Multi Units at the HMS Host-Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. Cediel joined The Tasting Room at King’s Harbor Team as General Manager in March 2014. She enjoys mentoring others, while bringing together a team to accomplish great things. “Inspiring individuals to believe in themselves is a beautiful thing. Giving my team the tools needed to succeed and allowing them to thrive is the most rewarding gift anyone can give.”

In her spare time, Cediel enjoys spending time with her 8-year-old daughter, Kylie. They spend time together outside, baking, doing crafts and relaxing. Cediel also participates in numerous community service activities with her church group involving the well-being of the Houston and Kingwood communities. “As most people know, TTRKW is different than other locations. I am close to this community, and have been for over 10 years. I enjoy working with the community directly and becoming a true neighbor with my guests.”
